My name is Igor Opeshansky but some of you may know me as Vitruvian Physique on YouTube! More than just an online coach, I consider myself to be a fitness educator who has made it his life mission to teach others the science of how to transform your bodies and live a healthier life.
If you’re on this website, it is likely you have already seen my channel where over the past 5 years I have accumulated over 500,000 subscribers and helped thousands of people transform their bodies like you see here.
In addition, I hold a BSc in human physiology from the University of Western Ontario, I have 5 years experience in science-based online coaching, and I am a 6-time natural men’s physique and bodybuilding competitor.
My philosophy towards coaching is based on three principles:
Ensuring that all of the strategies I recommend to my clients are rooted in science and 100% “broscience-free”.
It’s easy to throw clients on borderline starvation-level diets and instruct them to eat nothing but chicken breast and lettuce. However, in the vast majority of cases, this will prove to be completely unsustainable beyond a few weeks and in all likelihood, the client will simply lose motivation and regain the weight they may have lost. This is why I firmly believe the most optimal training & diet strategy is one that is not only effective, but also realistically sustainable when you factor in variables like schedule, convenience, taste preferences, and mental health.
Unfortunately, the fitness industry is riddled with individuals who use performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) such as steroids. Now although I do not have any personal quarrel with individuals who choose to use these substances, I personally choose not to do so and prefer to work with individuals who feel the same way. A big reason for this is because natural lifters and those who are enhanced with PEDs have very different needs from a training and nutrition standpoint. This way my clients can feel confident that their coach is a natural athlete himself and most importantly, he will not be recommending any dietary or training strategies which may be better suited for enhanced athletes using PEDs.
